Courses are designed to address the learning needs of social workers, counselors, psychologists, other mental health professionals, teachers and peers from beginner to advanced levels unless otherwise noted.
Payment and Purchase Order Policy:
PAYMENT IS REQUIRED IN ADVANCE. Registration fee includes course materials and morning refreshments (varies per location). Upon completing registration, you will receive a Thank You email with helpful links. However, registration is not complete and space is not reserved until payment is processed and you receive a second confirmation email from BHM. Both the Thank You and registration confirmation will be sent to registrants via email address provided. Please provide a reliable email and phone #. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 2 weeks of registering, please check your spam or junk email folder first. If you are unable to locate a confirmation email, please notify BHM via email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Access to training event will not be permitted and certificate will NOT be issued unless payment is rendered in full.
Purchase Orders: BHM will only accept Purchase Orders (PO’s) that are pre-approved. Pre-approved PO’s will reserve space but registration will not be completed until BHM receives the PO check. Please contact BHM directly about any PO’s to discuss this process further. Access to training event will not be permitted and certificate will NOT be issued unless payment is rendered in full.

The refund request email must be submitted ONE WEEK (7 DAYS) PRIOR TO DATE OF EVENT. After such a date, any cancellations or no-shows will NOT be eligible for a refund. ALL REFUNDS ARE SUBJECT TO A $10.00 (TEN DOLLAR) PROCESSING FEE. We accept substitutions if you are unable to attend last minute. However, you must notify BHM via email about any substitution and provide the substitute with the confirmation email you received via email which they must present for entry. In addition, the substitute will need to complete a substitution form on site to avoid any additional charges.
In the event BHM must cancel, postpone or reschedule an event for unforeseen reasons, registrants will be notified promptly. Please provide a reliable email and phone # when registering.
In the event of an emergency or inclement weather, BHM will attempt to reach registrants via email and/or phone. Please provide a reliable email and phone # when registering. BHM will also leave a message on the BHM voicemail and attempt to place signage at training venue if possible.
Certificates will be distributed at the end of the workshop unless otherwise noted. In order to obtain the certificate, participants must stay for the entire workshop as evidenced by signing in/out, and complete/submit a course evaluation at the end of the training event.
CE’s are approved for NJ LCSW/LSW/LPC/LAC/LCADC/CADC/LMFT and PA LPC via approvals issued by NASW-NJ. CE’s are also approved for NY LMSWs & LCSWs via approved provider #0443, effective 4.1.17. CE credit hours vary by course. Certificates are issued for the type and # of CE credit hours specified. “Partial credit” will not be granted. Participants are required to be present for the duration of training and must sign in at the beginning of the workshop then out at the end of the workshop. CE credit hours are approved as noted for each Board specified. Participants interested in any other credential or Board that is not pre-approved will need to inquire directly with such Board. Participants are provided with workshop descriptions, objectives and certificates of attendance to facilitate the process of applying for renewal credit with their respective Boards.

Behavioral Health Matters, LLC is recognized by the New York State Education Department’s State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0443. Therefore, all courses noted below and on the Training Page are also approved for NY LMSWs & LCSWs effective 4.1.17.
Motivational Interviewing to Avoid an MI: Your Survival Guide, Approval #170603-0153, provided by Behavioral Health Matters, is approved for continuing education by the New Jersey Social Work Continuing Education Approval Collaborative, which is administered by NASW-NJ. CE Approval Collaborative Approval Period: April 25, 2017 through August 31, 2018. Social workers will receive six (6) clinical continuing education hours for participating in this course.
